I strongly believe that my Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation is the holy grail of foundations. The coverage, texture, colour, literally everything about it is perfect!
I know I mentioned this foundation in my Everyday Essential post, which you can read here, but I thought I would go into more depth about what I believe to be the best foundation!
The Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation I would say had light to medium coverage. Usually for the day I tend to only wear a little bit of it for a lighter coverage, but when I want to go our or want more of a glam look, this foundation can easily be built up.
Prior to trying the Nars foundation I was a MAC Cosmetics ‘Pro Longwear’ liquid foundation girl, which has full coverage. I have never had bad skin, I rarely get spots and I am fairly even all over, my makeup artist cousin told me off for wearing such a thick foundation when my skin didn’t need it.
I have fairly dry skin, and I would say it is perfect for my skin type.
As I haven’t personally tried it on oily skin, I couldn’t confirm what ir would be like, however I have to say I have heard people with oily skin say how much they love this foundation, so I would definitely think about checking it out.
I use it in the colour Deauville because I’m quite fair and I love love love the way the colour matches my skin! Obviously not blended in the picture but you get the idea!
This foundation is water based so it will seem quite runny in comparison to some other foundations – but as a result you will find that a little goes a long way! Because it is thin, it means that it applies so easily to the face.
How long does it last?
All bloody day and night THANK GOD! I do use a primer and a setting powder so that probably helps too, but usually at the end of the day, believe it or not, my face still looks fresh. Well as fresh as it could be after working all day or dancing all night.
It comes in a glass bottle with a black lid – nothing overly pretty or anything to shout about. But it looks classy and expensive, which is good enough for me.
At £34 I wouldn’t say the pricing was unreasonable. I mean I probably go through a foundation every 4-5 months and I wear it every day pretty much.
I know personally I would rather pay for something that suited my skin, that lasted all day and the bottle lasted a while!
Would I recommend?
YES! I am sure you will love it as much as I do!
